RESOLUTION NO. 4412
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF R.EDLANDS
FINDING THAT A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IS UN-NECESSARY
FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE
VACATION OF SAID PORTION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains
and resolves as follows:
SECTION ONE. The City Council of the City of Redlands,
having effected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9,
Part 3 , Chapter 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, and having held a public hearing as
provided herein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted
that a portion of Sophia: Court as described in Exhibit "A"
(attached) is unnecessary for present or prospective street
purposes and that the public interest and convenience require
the closing of a portion of said street, The City Council
hereby further finds that such vacation is consistent with
the City's General Plan .
SECTION TWO: The City Council hereby orders the
vacation of a portion of said street described in the
attached Exhibit "A."
SECTION THREE; In the proceeding herein adopted by this
City Council for the vacation of a portion of said street
described in the attached Exhibit "A." the City of Redlands
reserves and excepts from the vacations the permanent
easement and right at any time, or from time to time, to
construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew
sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures,
in, upon, over and across any street or part thereof proposed
to be vacated and pursuant to any exiting franchises or
renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain,
operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe,
conduits, cables, wires, poles and other convenient
structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas
pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, and for the
distribution or transportation of electric energy, water and
incidental purposes, including access and right to keep
property free from inflammable materials and woad growth, and
o otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon., and
over the portions of the streets proposed to be vacated.

SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that
the vacation of a portion of said street as described in the
attached Exhibit "A" herein is required by public interest,
convenience, safety and welfare.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 20th day of September,
1988.
