A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CLOSE A PORTION OF SOUTH AVENUE IN THE CITY OF
REDLANDS AS SAID STREET IS NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR STREET PURPOSES,
TIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLDS hereby resolves as follows;
SECTION ONE-. The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to
proceed -unnder the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets
and Highways Code in the State of California and to vacate a street in the
manner provided therein.
SECTION TWO-. This City Council does hereby declare that it is the
intention of the City Council to order the vacation of a certain street in
the City of Redlands9 County of San Bernardino, State of California described
as follows
All that portion. of 80-foot wide South Avenue in the City of
Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California as
show on Map No, l of portion of Redlands Heights as per map
recorded on Book 5 of Maps, Page 74, records of said County,
lying northerly of and adjacent to aline 35 .feet from the
centerline of said South Avenue and extending from the easterly
line extended of 70-foot wide Cal-Ion Street to the westerly line
extended of 80-foot wide Garden Street
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of
a city street, namely a portion of :south Avenue, described herein., is required
by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR: A map setting out the particulars of the proposed street
vacation shall be on file-in the office of the City Clerk and available for
i..nspeetion by interested persons.
SECTION FIVE-. The City Counell hereby fixes the time and date and place
of a public hearing of all matters concerning the above-described proposed
street closing, and the time at which any person or agent should present any,
objections to the aforesaid street vacation at 7900 P.M. on the 5th day of
September, 1.961, in the regular meeting place of the City Council in the
City Hall, Redlands, California.
