RESOLUTION OF =ZNTION TO VACATE PORTIONS OF
CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EE}LANDS DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION ONE: The City Cowncil of zhe City of Redlands hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9. Part 3 . chapter
2 of the Screet and Highways Code of che Smane of California and to
vacate portions of streets in z manner provided therein.
SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its intention
to order the vacation of portions of certain streers described as
follows :
Legal Description for Vacating Portions of Stillman Avenue and
certain alleys lying within Block 4, 'Lugonia Heights
Parcel 1 - All that Portion of those certain alleys lying with-
in Block 4, revised Map of a portion of Block 4, Lugonia
Heights , as per map recorded in Book 15. Page 13 of maps in
the office of the County Recorder of said county and of
Stillman Avenue, 80 feet wide, as shown on said Map describQ
as a whole as follows :
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 7 . said Block 4; thence
easterly 90 feet more or less along the north line ofLots 7
and 8, said Block 4 to the Northeast corn of said Lot 87
thence southerly 170 feet more or less along the east line of
said Lot 0 to the southeast corner thereof; thence westerly
180 feet more or less along the south line of Lots 8, 7, 6 and
5, said Block 4 to the southwest corner of said Lot 5; thence
southerly 80 feet more or less to the northwest corner of Lot
!I. Block 5, according to Map of a mrzion of Lugonia Heights
recorded in Book 8, page 12 of Maps ; thence easterly 200 feet
more or less along the north line of Lots 11, 10, 9 and 8, said
Block 5 to the northeast corner of the west 20 feet of said
last mentioned Lot 8; thence northerly 80 feet more or less to
the southeast corner o5 the west 20 feet of Lot 9, said BlocTc
4; thence northerly 186 feet more or less along the east line
of said last mentioned west 20 feet and its northerly prolonga-
tion to the south line of Lot 16, s Block 4; thence westerly
110 feet more or less along the south line of Lots 16, 17 and
16, said Block 4 to the southwest corner of said Lot 187 thence
southerly 16 feet more or less to the point of beginning. Ex-
cept that portion thereof lying within the following described
land.-
Commencing at a point on the southerly prolongation of the west
line of said Lot 5, which is 13 . 00 feet northerly of the sontin
3ine of Stillman Avenue. 80 feet wide, as shown on said map;
thcnce easterly 33 . 75 feet , parallel with said sorth line of
Stillman Avenue so the beginning of a rangcnc curve, concave
northwesterly, westerly, and wouthcoly, having a radius of
47 . 00 feet; thence northeasnerly, northerly and westurly 191 .41
fact to the arc of said curve thronch a contra! angle of

233 20 ' 37" to the beginning of a reverse curve, concave north-
westorly, having a radius of 20. 00 feet; thence southwestcrY,,
18 . 62 feet along Lhe arc of said curve through a central angle
of 53020 ' 37" to the southwest corner of said Lot 5; thence
southerly 67 . 00 feet to the point of beginning.
Parcel 2 - The westerly 20 feet of Lot 8, Block 5, Lugonia
Heights, as per map recorded in Book 8, page 12 of Maps in tho
office of che County Recorder of said counry.
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the
vacation of the zortions of the certain streens described herein is
required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR; A map setting the particulars of the proposed
street vacation shall be an file in the office of the Department of
Public Works and available for inspection by persons interested in
or objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fimes the time and date
and place of Public Hearing on the above described street closing at
7: 00 P,M, on the 3rd day of February, 1970 in the regular meeting
place of the City Council. Redlands , California.
SECTION SIX: Wichin fifteen days after its passage, this reso-
lution shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts , a newspaper
of general circulation published and circulated in the city of
Redlands , California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of january, 1970.
