HomeMy WebLinkAbout2537_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO, 2537 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE PORTIONS OF A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Street and Highways Code of the State of California, and to vacate a portion of a street in the manner provided therein. SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its intention to order the vacation of a portion of a certain street described as follows: All that portion of 60 foot wide Sunnyside Avenue Lying north- easterly of the following described line: COMMENCING at the centerline intersection of 60 foot wide Clifton Avenue and 60 foot wide Sunnyside Avenue as shown on Tract No. 5441, SUNNYSIDE GROVE UNIT #2, in the City of Red- lands, County of San Bernardino, State of California, as per plat recorded in Book 71 of Maps, page 1.7, records of said County; thence along the centerline of said Clifton Avenue, North 560 20 ' 27" East (North 560 20 ' East record) 51. 61 feet; thence at right angles, to said centerline, South 330 39 ' 33" East 30 .00 feet to the True Point of Beginning of said line, said True Point of Beginning lies at the begin- ning of a curve concave to the East whose radius is 13 .00 feet and whose initial tangent bears South 560 20 ' 27 " West; thence from the True Point of BEGINNING Southerly along said curve, 23. 99 feet and through a central angle of 1.050 45 ' to a point on a line which is parallel with and 25 .00 feet Northeasterly of and measured at right angles to the centerline of the aforesaid 60 foot wide Sunnyside Avenue; thence along said Line South 490 24 ' 33" East (South 490 25 ' East record) 19.04 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the Southwest and whose radius is 264.00 feet; thence Southerly along said curve, 153. 94 feet and through a central angle of 330 24 ' 33" to the ter- minus of said. Line. SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the va- cation of the portion of the certain street described herein is re- quired by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare. SECTION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of the proposed street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of Public Works and available for inspection by persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. Resolution No. 2537 Page Two SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place of Public Hearing on the above described street closing at 7: 00 P.M. , on the 6th day of September, 1966, in the regular meeting place of the City Council, Redlands, California. SECTION SIX: Within fifteen days after its passage, this reso- lution shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in the City of Redlands, California.
