A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CLOSE A PORTION OF SUNSET DRIVE.
The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby resolves as follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to
proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 39 Chapter 2 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California and to vacate a portion of a
street in the manner provided therein.
SECTION TWO: This City Council does hereby declare that it is the
intention of this City Council to order the vacation of a portion :of__Sunset
Drive, described as follows:
All that portion of 50 foot wide Sunset Drive lying in the South-
west Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 1
South, Range 3 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, in the City
of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California, described
as follows:
COMMENCING at the intersection of the centerline of said Sunset
Drive and the nest line of said Southwest Quarter of Section 368
thence South 0° 03' 08" East 25050 feet to a point on the Southerly
line of said Sunset Drive; thence along said line South 78° 41'
East 118-14 feet; thence South 45° 36' East 275.01 feet; thence
North 68° 23' East 101.95 feet to the true point of beginning;
thence from the true point of
BEGINNING, leaving said Southerly line North 19° 29' 30" East 4.51
feet; thence North 700 30' 30" West 61.84 feet; thence North 56°
56' West 7.28 feet to a point on the Northerly line of said Sunset
Drive; thence along said line North 680 23' East 88086 feet; thence
South 84° 02' East 90.29 feet; thence South 39° 511 East 105.91
feet; thence South 690 101 East 219.14 feet; thence South 45° 44'
East 212.03 feet; thence South 4° 14' West 276.86 feet; thence South

point on the South line of said Southwest Quarter of the Southwest

(deed record: North 89° 30' East 969.1 feet) from the Southwest
corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 36; thence con-
tinuing along said South line of the Southwest Quarter of Section
36, South 89° 36' 15" West 25.08 feet to a point on the West line
of Sunset Drive; thence along said line North 5° 05' West 134.22
feet; thence North 280 161 West 131-36 feet; thence North 4° 14'
East 268.14 feet; thence North 45° 44' West 178.37 feet; thence
North 69° 101 Test 221.86 feet; thence North 39° 51' West 98.69

Nest 28.75 feet to the true point of beginning.
SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by the City Council for
the vacation of a portion Sunset Drive, the City of Redlands reserves and
excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and right at any time, or
from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and
renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in

over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pur-
suant to any existing frand1iises or renewals thereof, or •.-otherwise,2 to
construct, maintain, operate, replace, removeg renew and enlarge lines of
pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poies , and other convenient structures,
equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic
and telephone lines , rail-road lines, and for the transportation or
distribution of electric energy, petroleum, and its products, ammonia,
water, and incidental purposes, including access and the right to keep
the property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and other-
wise protect the same from all hazards in, upon and over the street or
part thereof proposed to be vacated.
SECTION FOUR. The City Council hereby determines that the vacation
of the portion of city street, namely, Sunset Drive, described herein,
is required by public interest, convenience, safety, and welfare.
SECTION FIVE: A map setting out the particulars of the proposed street
vacation shall be on file in the office of the City Clerk and available for
inspection by interested persons.
SECTION SIX: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place
of Public Hearing of all matters concerning the above-described proposed
street closing, and the time at which any person or agent should present
any objections to the aforesaid street vacation, at 7jj2L p.m. on the

the City Council in the City Hall, 'Wedlands, California.
