HomeMy WebLinkAbout3409_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION No. 3409 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES RESOLVE AS rOLLOWS : SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2, of the Street and Highways Code of the State of California and to vacate a por- tion of a street in the manner provided therein. SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its intention to order the vacation of a portion of Sunset Drive described as follows : COMMENCING at the centerline intersection of Sunset Drive and Marjorie Crest, as shown by Tract No. 6997, OAK RIDGE ESTATES NO. 3, as per plat recorded in Book 100 of Maps, Pages 20 and 21, records of said County; thence curving to the right from an initial tangent that bears North 560 551 00" West through a central angle of 60 25 ' with a radius of 200. 00 feet, an arc distance of 22.40 feet to the point of tangency of a curve on the centerline of said Sunset Drive, as shown by said Tract No. 6997; thence at right angles North 390 30 ' 00" East 27.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING,- thence at right angles North 500 30 ' 00" West 133. 74 feet to a tangent curve; thence curving to the left with a radius of 287.73 feet through a central angle of 80 091 38" , an arc distance of 40. 98 feet to an intersection with the Northeasterly right of way line of the aforesaid re- alignment of Sunset Drive; thence curving to the right from an initial tangent that bears South 630 33 ' 17" East through a central angle of 80 111 47" with a radius of 603.04 feet, an arc distance of 86. 27 feet; thence South 550 21 ' 30" East 114. 52 feet to a point on the East line of said Lot 1 of the map of SUNSET HEIGHTS ; thence South 000 45 ' 41" East along the East line of said Lot 1, 20. 90 feet; thence curving to the right from an initial tangent that bears North 630 15 ' 01" West through a cen- tral angle of 120 45 ' 01" with a radius of 173. 00 feet, an arc distance of 38. 50 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of the portion of a certain street described herein is required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare. SECTION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of the proposed street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of Public Works and available for inspection ' by persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place of Public Hearing on the street closing at 7 :00 P.M. on the J-5th day of November, 1977, in the regular meeting place of the City Council, Redlands, California. SECTION SIX: Within fifteen days after its passage, this resolu- tion shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in the City of Redlands, California .
