CLOSING OF PORTION OF WEST PALM, AVXUE, W OF SAN MATEO STREET.
1,,iTHFRV�AS, the City Council of the City of Redlands did on the 4th day of January,
1955, duly pass and adoEt Resolution of Intention, Resolution No. 773, declaring the
intention of said City ouncil to order the closing of a portion of the right -ref-Vay
for street purposes of all of Palm Avenue lying west&-rly of San Mateo Street and as
shown on Map of Addition No. 9, of the Second Preliminary Map of Redlands, recorded
in Book 5 Of Maps, page 9 thereof, records of San Bernardino County,, and further
described as follows:
The closing of all of Palm Avenue lying Westerly of San Mateo Street and
terminating about 1,445 feet (more or less) westerly of the center line
of San Mateo Street, as shown on the above described map, from existing
100 foot right-of-way to A 64 foot wide right-of-way lying 32 feet on
either side of the existing center line of Palm Avenue.
It being the intention of the City Council to reduce the width of said Palm Avenue
for said 1445 feet distance from a 100 foot street to a 64 foot stree� and to close
the North 18 feet and the South 18 feet of said Street.
AND WHE?BA5, notices of Improvement, stating the fact of the passage of said
Resolution, its date, and the work and improvement proposed, and referring to said
Resolution of Intention for further particulars, have been published and posted in
the manner required and provided by law, and the said City Council have acquired
jurisdiction to order said work to be done. I/
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Redlands does
hereby order the closing up of the portion of Palm Avenue hereinabove described.
BE IT IFUTTHER REZOLVED that no assessment is necesoar7 to pay the damages., costs
and expenses of said, work and improvement.
I HERTEMY CE-PTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of
the City of Redlands at a regular meeting thereof held on the ILIA' day of February,
1955, by the following vote to-unit
AYE; Councilmen Osbun., Morlan, Anderson and Mayor Elkins
