RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A CERTAIN
STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
STREET VACATION NO. 102
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as
follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands
hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9 ,
Part 3 , Chapter 2 , of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California and to vacate a portion of a certain
street in the manner provided therein.
SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its
intention to order the vacation of an alley located between
Garden and Dwight Streets, 424 feet northerly of Elizabeth
Street, as described in Exhibit "A"" attached.
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that
this alley is excess right-of-way; therefore the vacation of
said alley as described in Exhibit "A"" may be required by
public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR: The map setting the particulars of the
proposed alley vacation shall be on file in the Department of
Planning and Community Development, 2 East Citrus Avenue,
Suite 15A, Redlands, and available for inspection by persons
interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time
and date and place of the public hearing on the alley closing
at 7 : 40 P.M. on the 18th day of February, 1992 , in the
Council Chambers, 212 Brookside Avenue, Redlands, California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 4th day of February,
1992 .

the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th
day of February, 1992 , by the following vote:

Vacated to Jacinto
That portion of an alley , 30 feet wide , located between Blocks 6
and 7 of Smiths' s Subdivision No . 3, in the City of Redlands, as
shown by plat recorded in Book 12 , page 33 of Maps , records of the
recorder of the County of San Bernardino, State of California ,
described as follows :
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Block 6, said point also
being on the East line of Dwight Street , 60 feet wide , thence
Easterly along the Southerly line of said Block 6 , S 56 21 ' 59" East
135.67 feet to an angle point in said line, thence S 87 00' 19" E
81 .95 feet to the Southeast corner of said Block 6, said point also
being on the Southwest line of Garden Street , 60 feet wide, thence
Southeasterly along said line, S 1B 21 ' 36" East 16. 11 feet, to a
point on the centerline of said alley ; Thence Westerly along said
centerline N B7 00' 19" W 91 .93 feet to an iron rod , said rod also
being an angle point in the centerline of said alley ; thence
Northwesterly along said centerline N 56 21 ' 59" W 129 .80 feet to
a point on the East line of said Dwight Street , thence Northerly
along said East line N O 00 ' 14" W 18.02 feet to the point of
beginning .
