RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE PORTIONS
OF A CERTAIN ALLEN' IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITE' COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter
2, of the Street and Highways Code of the State of California and to
vacate portions of streets in the manner provided therein..
SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its intention
to order the vacation of portions of a certain alley described as
follows :
Legal Description for vacation of portions of a certain alley of Lots
14, 15 and 33 of Tract 3580 as recorded in Book 47, page 25; and a por-
tion of Lot 8-1/4, Block Q, Addition No. 5, Second Preliminary Map of
Redlands as recorded in Book 5, page 3 , in the office of the County
Recorder of the County of San Bernardino, described as follows :
SECTION I - BEGINNING at the Southwesterly corner of said Lot 33, Tract
3580 ; thence N 56`19' 30"E 263 . 70 feet to the Southeasterly corner of
said Lot 15, Tract 3580; thence S 33"40 ' 30"E 1.5.00 feet; thence S 56"
19 ' 30"W 263 .70 feet; thence N 33040 ' 34"W 15.00 feet- to the Point of
Beginning.
SECTION II - BEGINNING at the Southwesterly corner of said Lot 14, Tract
3580; thence N 56019 '30"E 264.40 feet to a point on the westerly Right--
of-way line of 84 foot wide Center Street; thence S 33°41 '05"E 15 .00
feet; thence S 56019' 30"W 264.1.1 feet; thence N 33040 ' 30"W 15 .00 feet
to the Point of Beginning.
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the vaca-
tion of the portions of the certain alley described herein is required
by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of the proposed alley
vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of Public
Works and available for inspection by persons interested in or object-
ing to the proposed vacation.
SECTIONFIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and
place of Public Hearing on the above-described alley closing at 7:00
P.M. on the 17th day of September, 1974 in the regular meeting place of
the City Council, Redlands, California.
SECTION SIX: Within fifteen days after its passage, this resolu-
tion shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of
general circulation published and circulated in the City of Redlands,
California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 14th day of August, 1974.
