A RESOLUTION OF I]IrEOTIOJI TO CLOSE A PORTIO14 OF ROOSEVELT ROD IN TIZ CITY OF
REDUNDS AS SAID STREET IS NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR STRZIET PURPOSES.
THE CITY COLE CIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby resolves as follows:
SECTION OhE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to
proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3., Chapter 2 of the Streets
and Highways Code in the State of California and to vacate a street in the
manner provided therein.
SECTION TWO: This City Council does hereby declare that it is the intentior
of the City Council to order the vacation of a portion of a certain street im
the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California, described
as follows:
All of that portion of Roosevelt Road in the City- of Redlands,
County of San Bernardino., State of California, l.-ring south-
westerly of the following described line:
'G at the centerline intersection ref Highland
Avon-Lie and Roosevelt Road,, said point being at the most east-
erly corner of Block I'D" of Second PrelimLiax7 Map of Red-
lands., as per plat recorded in Book 5 Of Maps, Page 2, records
of said County; thence along the southeasterly 0 prolongation
of said centerline of Roosevelt Road-, South 33 371 4511 East
50.00 feet; thence parallel with the centerline of Highland
Avenue, South 560 201 West 30.00 feet to the true point of
beginning; thence from the true point of
BEGINNING,, parallel with said southeasterly prolongation of
Roosevelt Road, South 330 37t 4511 East 299.82 feet to its
terminus at a point on the centerline of vacated Crescent
Avenue.
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of
the portion of a city street, namely Roosevelt Road, described herein, is required
by public interest., convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR: A map setting out the particulars of the proposed
street vacation shall be on file in the office of the City Clerk and
available for inspection by interested persons.
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the tine and date and
place of a Public Hearing of all matters concerning the above-described
proposed street closing, and the time at which any person or agent should
present any objections to the aforesaid street vacation at 7:00 P.M. on the
15th day of Januar-j, 1963, in the regular meeting place of the City Council
in the City Hall, Redlands, California.
