Mr. Serfass devoted more than 20 years to leading the center's Bridge Group, fostering camaraderie and connection among its members. His leadership extended beyond Bridge; as a volunteer member of the Senior Activities Board for 10 years, Mr. Serfass played a pivotal role in shaping programs and advocating for the needs of seniors. Mr. Serfass' service to his country was equally distinguished. Drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, he rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel during a 24-year military career marked by dedication and excellence. After retiring, Mr. Serfass and his family settled in Redlands, where he combined his passion for Bridge with a deep commitment to community service. Mr. Serfass' love for the game began in his youth, and he shared this enthusiasm with others through his voluntary direction of the Bridge program at the Joslyn Senior Center. Mr. Serfass' passing in 2020 was a great loss to all who knew him, but his contributions continue to be felt through the programs and friendships he nurtured. 3 1AResolutions\Res 8600-8699\8673 Renaming Peter Seifass Joslyn (003).docx jm
