A RESOLUTIONT OF THE CITY OF R DLA2ZDS, A CAL IFOR TA
MUNICIPALITY, RELATIING TO THE STRONG-MOTION INSTRUMENTATION
PROGRAM OF THE S'T'ATE O� C -A ORN A
WHEREAS, Effective March 4, 19712, the State of California enacted
a Strong-Motion instrumentation Program pursuant to the provisions of
Chapter 8 (commencing with Section 2 100) of Division. 2 of the Public
Resources Cade; and,
WHEREAS, Section 2705 of the Public Resources Code provides that
all counties and cities shall collect a fee from all applicants for
construction permits which shall be equal to .00; percent of the
estimated construction cost of the structureF and,
WHEREAS, Section 2101 of the Public Resources Code provides that
the Division of Mines and Geology of the Department of Conservation
shall organize and monitor the program.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CI'T'Y COCA CTL AS FOLLOWS:
Effective March 4, 1972, the Building Department shall collect.
the fees and the Finance Department shall remit the collected fees
pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 8 of Division 2 of the Public
Resources Code and rules and regulations of the Division of Mines and
Geology of the Department of Conservation,
