A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS,
CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING THE CALIFORNIA HEALTHY CITIES AND
COMMUNITIES PROJECT AND INDICATING CONTINUED PARTICIPATION
IN THE PROJECT.
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Redlands,California,has placed a high priority
on improving the quality of life for all the citizens of the City; and
WHEREAS,such an effort must be broad in scope to include all aspects of the environment;
and
WHEREAS, success will depend on coordinated efforts of both the public and private
sectors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands
supports the California Healthy Cities and Communities project as a means of integrating health
concerns into a broad approach to improving the overall environment in the City and intends to
continue participation in the project.
PASSED,APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Redlands City Council
held on this 19th day of June, 2001.
