RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TBE CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS.- Section 1773 of the Labor Code requires all pub-Lie agencies
to publish the prevailing wage rates with each call for bids on public
works projects, and
WHEREAS: This procedure results in excessive clerical and publishing
cost for all cities, and
WHEREAS: Senate Bill No. 754 and Assembly Bill No. 354 would provide
ample assurances that cities would pay the prevailing wages on public works
projects and also reduce the amount of clerical and publishing work now
required;
BE IT THEREFORE NOW RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands
that the City of Redlands endorses the proposed amendments to the Labor Code
and recommends that Section 1773 of the Labor Code be amended as soon as
possible.
