This first amendment ("First Amendment") to the agreement for Homeless Resource
Services providing temporary shelter beds ("Agreement"), dated 21 st day of May, 2024 , by and
between the City of Redlands, a municipal corporation and a general law city ("City"), and Church
of Religious Science of Redlands, a California nonprofit corporation dba CRS Redlands
("Provider"), is made and entered into this 5th day of May, 2026.
RECITALS
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City and Provider to amend their existing Agreement,
specifically to revise the original term of the contract and extend it by thirteen (13) months; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City and Provider to amend their existing Agreement,
specifically to revise the compensation of funds and increase the total dollar amount by Five
Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) to ensure the expenditure deadline is met.
NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration in the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged City and Provider agree as follows:
AGREEMENT
Section 1. Subsection 4.2 of the Agreement, entitled "Article 4 -Performance of
Services," is hereby amended to read as follows:
"4.2 Provider shall complete the services by July 30, 2027, unless all available ERF Grant
funds have been expended or terminated earlier as provided herein."
Section 2. Subsection 5.1 of the Agreement, entitled "Article 5 -Payments to
Provider," is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Total compensation for providers performance of the Services shall not exceed the total
amount of one hundred eighty-five thousand dollars ($185,000.00). Provider shall be entitled to
compensation in an amount not to exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), payable upon
execution. No additional compensation shall be paid under this agreement."
Section 3. All other provisions of the Agreement shall remain unchanged by this First
Amendment and in effect,
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this First Amendment, to be effective
as of May 5th, 2026.
