HomeMy WebLinkAbout791_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION No. 791 At a regular meeting of t're City Council, City of Redlands , held July 18, 1955, the following resolution was duly adopted on motion of Councilman Morlan, seconded by Coun- cilman Romo and unanimously carried: WHEREAS, a proposal has been made for the construction of a highway, referred to as tone Los Angeles !xpressway, to extend from the vicinity of Los Angeles International Airport near Inglewood easterly along the general line of Imperial Highway to a point near the town of Olinda, thence northeasterly via Carbon Canyon to a point near Chino, thence generally easterly to Mira Loma, thence northerly and northeasterly to the Cajon Pass in San Bernardino County, and w WHEREAS, it appears probable that highway of large capacity along such route would be of benefit not only for civil defense and military purposes, also for the heavy volume of daily vehicle travel that would use such highway; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVEM by the City Council, City of Redlands, County of Sari Bernardino, Btate of California, in a regular session assembled this 16th day of July, 1955, that the California Highway Commission is urged to give its serious and favorable consideration to the proposal for the Los Angeles Expressway.
