A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
SUPPORTING SB 479
WHEREAS, the air quality in the Redlands-San Bernardino-
Colton area is rapidly approaching unacceptable levels of petro-
chemical oxidants, which is of serious concern to the residents
of this area with respect to their health and welfare, and
WHEREAS, the utilization of all possible means of control
which can aid the reduction of hydrocarbon emissions is deemed
urgent,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redlands supports SB 479, a bill providing for inspection
and maintenance of motor vehicle pollution control devices, and
urges Governor Reagan to sign this bill, which has already received
approval of both Houses of the Legislature.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 18th day of September, 1973,
by unanimous vote of the City Council.
