A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
SUPPORTING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PARKWAY TREE FUND BY THE
REDLANDS HORTICULTURAL AND IMPROVEMENT SOCIETY
WHEREAS, the Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society("RHIS")would like to
increase and enhance the beauty of the Redlands'area by the establishment of a Parkway Tree Fund;
and
WHEREAS, RHIS would accept money donations to the Parkway Tree Fund for the
purchase of trees to be planted in the public parkways in the City of Redlands, and said donations
may be tax deductible; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has neither the funds nor the time to manage such a
donation project,but supports the RHIS in its efforts to establish such a fund for the beautification
of Redlands' streets;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands
hereby encourages and supports the Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society in its efforts
to establish a Parkway Tree Fund.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 16th day of January, 2001.
