A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
TO MODIFY THE APPROVED PLAN FOR THE TENNESSEE FREEWAY
(STATE ROUTE 106)
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has entered into an agreement
with the State Division of Highways for the construction of
the Tennessee Freeway (State Route 106) ; and
WHEREAS, State representatives have indicated that changes
could be made in the ramps and frontage roads north of
Lugonia Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the State Division of Highways has also indicated
a need for a prompt decision on the frontage road configura-
tions .
BE IT THEREFORE NOW RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redlands does hereby request the State Division of
Highways to modify the approved plan for the Tennessee
Freeway by the addition of a frontage road on the west side
of the freeway, extending from San Bernardino Avenue to
Lugonia Avenue. Both frontage roads are to be located as
close to the freeway as practical after giving primary
consideration to traffic safety and standard design pro-
cedures.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 7th day of December, 1971.
