RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 3650 ESTABLISHING RATES OF
CHARGE FOR FRANCHISE GRANTEE TOWING AND STORAGE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLMQTS:
SECTION ONE: Under the provisions of Section 6 , Ordinance
No. 1425 of the City of Redlands, the City Council of the City of
Redlands hereby amends the following rates of charge, Prescribed by
specific sub-sections of Section Two of Resolution No. 3650 , by
prescribing the following rates of charge :
A. 'LOWING CHARGES:
(1) Automobiles, motorcycles, and other light
vehicles up to and including one ton vehicles.
(a) All tows and call-outs during all hours:
$25 . 00 for first three miles; $2. 00 per
mile thereafter.
(5) Special Conditions :
(a) Services performed in extremely hazardous
terrain (such as a flooded wash) may be
charged at the rate of a $60. 00 sur-charge
to compensate the risk of damage to equip-
ment or injury to personnel.
B. HOURLY RATES:
(3) Winching Time - $22. 00 per hour. (Included in
the winching time is the rigging and labor.
Examples: If a vehicle is over a bank and has
to be winched up to a roadway. If a vehicle is
over on its top, sides, etc. , and has to be
rolled over on its wheels by use of a cable. )
(a) Winching tine is to be computed in 1/4 hour
increments beginning at the time of cable
attachment an.d._end..i_nq, at the time the
vehicle arrives-at the position of tow
hook-up.
C. STORAGE RATES:
(1) Automobiles/Pickup Trucks.
(a) Outside storage - $4. 00 per twenty-four (24)
hour period in excess of four (4 ) hours from
initiation of storage .

(1) (b) Inside storage - $5. 00 per twenty--four (24)
hour period in excess of four (4 ) hours from
initiation of storage.
(2) Hotorcycle Storage - Inside Only.
(a) Inside storage - $3. 00 per twenty--four (24)
hour period in excess of four (4) hours from
initiation of storage.
(D) MISCELLANEOUS RATES:
(1) Disconnecting drive shafts or linkage - $7. 50; after
the first one-half hour and for each additional hour
thereafter - X20. 00.
(5) "Cradle" towing - Dolly rates prevail.
This definition includes that use of a "slide-
back" which is required by the nature of ---he
vehicle ' s construction, or condition at the time
of tow.
(F) TO1•1ING AND SERVICE CHARGES EMERGENCY VEHICLES:
(2) The prohibition of a charge, made by a Grantee
against the funds of the City of Redlands for
to ng and related services provided in regard
to a disabled emergency vehicle, shall not apply
to towing or winching which exceeds a Grantee ' s
time expenditure in excess of one-hour; a rate
for such excess time shall be $20 . 00 per hour in
excess of one hour.—
SECTION TWO: The remaining non-amended provisions of
Resolution No. 3650, adopted February 19, 1930 , shall continue in
full force and effect.
