A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO TITLE 10 OF
THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE
Pursuant to studies made under authority of Title 10 of the
Redlands Municipal Code, and the presentation of information gained
in such studies, the City Council hereby finds and determines that
traffic conditions and the convenience of the public require that
certain regulations are necessary and shall be established,
pursuant to Title 10 of the Redlands Municipal Code, and the
Traffic Engineer of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to
perform such acts as are necessary to accomplish the following:
SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Sections 10 .40 .200 , 10 .20 .060 and
10 .40 .240 (1) of the Redlands Municipal Code:
1. Establish a bus stop midway between Home Savings, 4 west
Redlands Boulevard, and the Sizzler Steak House's parking
lot, 110 Redlands Boulevard, on the north side of
Redlands Boulevard.
2. Maintain the existing bus stop at the current location on
the south side of Redlands Boulevard.
3 . Place and maintain warning signs in the center divider in
the 100 block of Redlands Boulevard to warn pedestrians
not to cross mid-block .
4. Paint the curbs red at the new bus stop location
designated in this section.
SECTION TWO: Pursuant to Section 10 .36 .010 of the Redlands
Municipal Code:
1. Designate Pioneer Avenue, beginning at Texas Street and
ending at Occidental Drive, as a through highway and
require all vehicles to stop before entering or crossing
the same, excepting Texas Street, Orange Street, and
Church Street.
SECTION THREE: Pursuant to Section 10 .28 .020 of the Redlands
Municipal Code:
1 . Change street striping to add an additional lane of
traffic at the following locations:
a. Cypress Avenue, eastbound, between Redlands
Boulevard and the I-10 Freeway on ramp;
b. Cypress Avenue, westbound, between Roosevelt Road
and Redlands Boulevard;
C . Terracina Boulevard, northbound, between Fern Avenue
and Olive Avenue; and
d. Terracina Boulevard, southbound, between Laurel
Avenue and Fern Avenue.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 5th day of July, 1988.
