HomeMy WebLinkAbout2697_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 2697 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 67 OF THE REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE Pursuant to studies made under authority of Chapter 67 of the Redlands Ordinance Cade, and the presentation of information gained in such studies, the City Council hereby finds and determines that traffic conditions and the convenience of the public require that cer- tain regulations are necessary and shall be established, pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Redlands Ordinance Code, and the Traffic Engineer of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to perform such acts as are necessary to accomplish the following: SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Article 680, Section 680. 1 of the Redlands Traffic Ordinance: To establish a 45 m.p.h. zone Eastbound on Redlands Boulevard between Cypress Avenue and Highland Avenue. SECTION TWO: Pursuant to Article 680, Section 680. 1 of the Redlands Traffic Ordinance: To establish a 50 m.p.h. zone Eastbound on Redlands Boulevard between Highland Avenue and Ford Street. SECTION THREE: Pursuant to Article 673, Section 673.6 of the Redlands Traffic Ordinance: To establish "U" turn sign on Redlands Boulevard at Tennessee Street to permit Eastbound and Westbound vehicles to make "U" turns . SECTION FOUR: To approve installation of access through median strip at 555 West Redlands Boulevard in accordance with plan submitted by developer and designated as Exhibit A. SECTION FIVE: To establish a policy for future changes in access or break-through in the median strip on Redlands Boulevard. Criteria for such changes must comply as follows: 1. No left turn from property exit to Redlands Boulevard. 2. Maximum speed not to exceed 30 m.p.h. 3. Adequate median width to permit construction of Left turn deceleration lane. 4. A minimum of two car storage in deceleration lane must be provided. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 23rd day of July, 1968 .
