A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING
TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO TITLE 10 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL
CODE.
Pursuant to studies made under authority of Title 10 of the Redlands Municipal Code, and
the presentation of information gained in such studies, the City Council hereby finds and
determines that certain regulations are necessary and shall be established pursuant to Title 10 of
the Redlands Municipal Code, and the Traffic Engineer of the City of Redlands is hereby directed
to perform such acts as are necessary to accomplish the following:
SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Section 10.40.310 B. of the Redlands Municipal Code:
1. Establish the Extended Parking Permit Program for all City streets with parking
time limit restrictions to allow clients, customers or patrons of eligible businesses
to park in timed parking spaces longer than two continuous hours. The Extended
Parking Permit Program is to be administered by the City Treasurer's Office and
enforced by the City Police Department as follows:
A. The use of Extended Parking Permits are for clients, customers and patrons
of businesses only and not for the business owners or employees of
businesses.
B. The use of Extended Parking Permits by business owners, employees or
other non-eligible individuals shall be considered abuse and result in
immediate suspension of the business from the Program.
C. The eligibility of businesses to participate in the Extended Parking Permit
Program is to be determined by the Treasurer's Office.
D. The Extended Parking Permits are to be purchased from the Treasurer's
Office at a fee of fifty cents ($.50) each. This fee is non-refundable.
E. The Extended Parking Permits are valid only for the date and time
indicated on them. The vehicles using the Permits are allowed to park for
no more than four (4) continuous hours on any one day.
F. The Extended Parking Permits are not transferrable from one business to
another. The Permits will be sequentially numbered and monitored.
