A RESOLUTIOTINT OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING TF-A.FFIC REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO TITLE 10 OF THE
REDLANDS MLNICIPAL CODE
'A"HEREAS, pursuant to studies made under the authority of Title 10 of the Redlands
Municipal Code, and the presentation of information contained in such studies, the City Council
of the City of Redlands has determined that certain traffic reggWations are necessary to protect the
public health, safety and welfare and should be established pursuant to Title 10 of the Redlands
Municipal Code;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REDLANDS as follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 10.48.010 of the Redlands Municipal Code, this City
Council hereby establishes flashing beacons at the school crosswalk on Olive Avenue at
Michigan Street.
Section 2. The flashing beacons authorized by this resolution shall not be installed
unless and until City staff provides this City Council with written notice that staff has identified a
funding source for the costs of such installation.
Section 3. This City Council further determines that the approval of this Resolution is
exempt from review under the Califomia Environmental Quality Act ("CEQX) pursuant to
CEQA Guidelines section 1506 It(b)(3) which provides that CEQA applies only to projects which
have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. This City Council finds
that it can be seen with certainty that the is no possibility that the approval of this Resolution
may have a significant effect on the environment.
