HomeMy WebLinkAbout2255_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. V-55, A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 62 OF REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE. Pursuant to studies made under authority of Chapter 62 of the Redlands Ordinance Code, the presentation of information gained in such studies, the City Council hereby finds and determines that traffic conditions and the convenience of the public require that certain regulations are neces- sary and shall be established, pursuant to Chapter 62 of the Redlands Ordinance Code, and the Traffic Engineer of the City of Redlands is here- by directed to perform such acts as are necessary to accomplish 'the follow- ing: SECTION ONE: A. Pursuant to Article 676, section 676-4 of the Redlands Traffic Ordinance, to permit the removal of stop signs at the inter- section of Grove and Central to stop Northbound and Southbound vehicles. B. Pursuant to Article 6761, Section 676.1 and 676.3 of the Redlands Traffic Ordinance. To establish a stop sign on Central Ave. to stop Eastbound and Westbound vehicles at the intersection of Grove. SECTION TWO: Pursuant to Article 673 of Chapter 67,, to authorize and establish official traffic control signals to control traffic at the intersection of Central Avenue at Cypress Avenue. SECTION THREE.- Pursuant to Article 677, Section 677.9 of Chapter 67 of Redlands Traffic Ordinance to amend that portion of the Ordinance that reads to permit parking for a period of time no longer than one hour any time during the day or night within the district or upon any of the streets or parts of streets as follows-. delete 1 (one) and 2 (two). 1 and 2 should read as follows: 1. Central Avenue South side of Central Avenue from East City limits to West City limits. 2. Central Avenue North side of Central from East City limits to West City limits. SECTION FOUR: Pursuant to Article 677., Section 677.9 of Chapter 67 of Redlands Traffic Ordinance to delete #11 that portion that reads to prohibit the parking of vehicles.* Delete #11 On the North and Northeast side of U. S. Highway 70 and U. S. Highway 99 (Central Avenue, Beacon Street) from the East City limits to the West City limits., City of Redlands. SECTION FIVE: Pursuant to Article 680, Section 680.2 of the Redlands Traffic Ordinance-. A. To establish a 45 M. P. H. zone on Central Avenue from Tennessee Street to a point approximately 400t East of New York Street. B. To establish a 40 M. P. H. zone on Central Avenue from a point approximately 4001 East of New York Street to First Street. C. To establish a 30 M. P. H. zone on Central Avenue,, Beacon Street, from First Street to Clark Street-, D. To establish a 4-10 M. P. H. zone on Central. Avenue, Beacon Street,, from Clark Street to a point approximately 4502 East of Cypress Avenue, E. To establish a 50 M. P. H. zone on Central Avenuel Beacon Street,, from a point approximately 4501 East of Cypress to a point 175t East of Oak Street. F. To establish a 55 M. P. H. zone on Central Avenue., Beacon Street, from a point approximately 1-751 East of Oak Street to State Free- itray U. S. 70 - 99.
