A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO TITLE 10 OF THE
REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, pursuant to studies made under the authority of Title 10 of the Redlands
Municipal Code, and the presentation of information contained in such studies, the City Council
of the City of Redlands has determined that certain traffic regulations are necessary to protect the
public health, safety and welfare and should be established pursuant to Title 10 of the Redlands
Municipal Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REDLANDS as follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 10.40.200 of the Redlands Municipal Code, this City
Council hereby establishes a no parking bus zone along the south side of Pennsylvania Avenue at
Lugonia Elementary School beginning at the east side of the east drive approach to the faculty
parking lot and heading east approxiinately 50 feet. The signs should read "NO PARKING,
BUS ONLY."
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 10.40.3 10 of the Redlands Municipal Code, this City
Council reaffirms and continues its establishment of white painted curb passenger loading zone
for approximately 300 feet on Fern Avenue frontage of Cope Middle School and install "No
Parking, Passenger Loading and Unloading Only, No Unattended Vehicles, 7:00 AM to 6:00
PM, Except Sundays and Holidays" signs.
Section 3. Pursuant to Section 10.40.310 of the Redlands Municipal Code, this City
Council reaffirms and continues its removal of the passenger loading zones at two locations
along the frontage of Lugonia Elementary School located at 202 East Pennsylvania Avenue.
One loading zone is located beginning approximately 48 feet east of the centerline intersection of
Alta Street and Pennsylvania Avenue extending 70 feet easterly and the other loading zone is
located beginning approximately 48 feet west of the centerline intersection of Alta Street and
Pemisylvania Avenue extending 87 feet westerly.
Section 4. Pursuant to Section 10.40.310 of the Redlands Municipal Code, this City
Council amends and continues its establishment of three 2-hour time limit parking zones located
along the frontage of Lugonia Elementary School at 202 East Pennsylvania Avenue. The first, 2-
hour time limit parking zone is located beginning approximately 48 feet east of the centerline
intersection of Alta Street and Pennsylvania Avenue extending 70 feet easterly. The second, 2-
hour time limit parking zone is located between existing red curbs beginning approximately 48
feet west of the centerline intersection of Alta Street and Pennsylvania Avenue extending 37 feet
westerly. The third, 2-hour time limit parking zone is located 33 feet east of the centerline of the
westerly 20 foot driveway of the westerly parking lot of Lugonia Elementary School extending
approximately 102 feet easterly.
Section 5. Resolution No. 6682 is hereby rescinded.

Section 6. This City Council further determines that the approval of this Resolution is
exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to
CEQA Guidelines section 15061(b)(3) which provides that CEQA applies only to projects which
have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. This City Council Finds
that it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the approval of this Resolution
may have a significant effect on the environment.
