RESOLUTION NO. 4729 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PURSUAr7T TO TITLE 10 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE Pursuant to studies made under authority of Title 10 of the Redlands Municipal Code, and the presentation of information gained in such studies, the City Council hereby finds and determines that traffic conditions and the convenience of the public require that certain regulations are necessary and shall be established, pursuant to Title 10 of the Redlands Municipal Code, and the Traffic Engineer of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to perform such acts as are necessary to accomplish the following : SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Section 10 . 24 . 010 of the Redlands Municipal Code a traffic engineering investigation has been conducted for the following highway and the following speed limit is hereby found most appropriate to facilitate the orderly movement of traffic and is reasonable and safe: HIGHWAY: Palo Alto Drive Date of Study: November 12 , 1990 Speed Limit as Follows: 30 miles per hour between Mirasol Drive and Sunset Drive ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 15th day of January, 1991 . Following are the safe speeds determined at the various curves. Direction of Travel Curve East west #1 30 mph 27 mph #2 34 mph 33 mph #3 30 mph 30 mph #4 33 mph 33 mph Please refer to the map for curve locations. A 30 mph speed limit is recommended. RECOMMENDED MOTION. I move to recommend the Council adopt a 30 mph speed limit on Palo Alto Drive from Sunset Drive to Mirasol Drive.
