HomeMy WebLinkAbout2427_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 2427 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 68 OF THE REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE, AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2306, CHAPTER 62 of the REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE Pursuant to studies made under authority of Chapter 68 of the Redlands Ordinance Code, the presentation of information gained in such studies , the City Council hereby finds and determines that traffic conditions and the convenience of the public require that certain regulations are necessary and shall be established, pursuant to Chapter 68, article 684, of the Redlands Ordinance Code , and the Traffic Engineer of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to perform such acts as are necessary to accomplish the following: SECTION ONE: No person shall ride a wheeled vehicle or operate, or use in any manner a bicycle or similar vehicle of propulsion upon any sidewalk within Vehicle Parking District No . 1 of the City of Redlands , The Chief of Police is authorized to place on any sidewalk proper signs which shall prohibit the use of any vehicle contrary to the provisions hereof. SECTION TWO : Any person riding a wheeled vehicle or operating or using a bicycle or similar vehicle of propulsion on a sidewalk within the city of Redlands , excluding the area within the Vehicle Parking District No . 1 , shall yield the right of way to all pedestrians and shall give an audible signal before passing any pedestrian. SECTION THREE: That Resolution No. 2306, Chapter 62 , Redlands Ordinance Code shall be and is hereby rescinded. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this `' day of 1965 - ATTEST: 965 .ATTEST: s/ Waldo F.
