A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
AMENDING RESOLUTION NOS. 5521 AND 5543
WHEREAS,on May 15, 1998,the City Council of the City of Redlands adopted Resolution
No. 5521 establishing a two-hour parking limitation for ten parking spaces located on the south side
of Citrus Avenue between Olive Avenue and the existing no parking zone west of Redlands
Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, on July 7, 1998, the City Council of the City of Redlands adopted Resolution
No. 5543 to suspend the effect of Resolution No. 5521 for a period of one year to allow local
businesses and residents of the City to study alternative parking arrangements; and
WHEREAS, on August 4, 1998, the City Council was presented with new and additional
public testimony from businesses regarding the availability of parking in the area of Citrus and Olive
Avenues; and
WHEREAS,this City Council believes it is in the best interests ofthe citizens and businesses
of Redlands to modify the parking requirements established by Resolution No. 5521;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS as follows:
Section 1. Resolution Nos. 5521 and 5543 are hereby amended to provide that of the ten
parking spaces that are the subject of those resolutions, five spaces located westerly and directly
across from 501 East Citrus Avenue, shall be designated for two-hour parking while the other five
spaces shall have no parking limitations.
