A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, COUNT' OF SAN
BERNARDINO APPROVING THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
TREE PLANTING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Small Business Act authorizes the Small Business Administration to make pass
through grants to any state for the purpose of contracting with small businesses to plant trees on
land owned or controlled by state or Iocal government; and
WHEREAS, The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection has been awarded a
grant from the SBA, and is authorized to award and administer subgrants to State and local
agencies who are qualified to participate in the program; and
WHEREAS, that State requires that an individual be authorized and directed to execute contract
number 8CA94667 and any subsequent amendments between the City of Redlands and the
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes and directs
the Public Works Director, as agent of the City of Redlands, to execute and submit all
documents, including but not Iimited to applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests
and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of this project.
