RESOLUTION NO. 2513
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF REDLANDS, GRANTING
RIGHT OF ENTRY ON CERTAIN CITY-OWNED PROPERTY TO THE U. S .
ARMY COMPS OF ENGINEERS
WHEREAS, the San Bernardino County Flood Control District has
entered into an agreement with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers for
Lhe removal of debris from the Mill Creek Channel ;
WHEREAS, the most feasible location for depositing this debris
J.s on city-owned property;
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands is desirous of cooperating with
the Flood Control District and the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers in
resolving a flood problem affecting a large area surrounding the City ;
BE IT THEREFORE NOW RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
f:f Redlands does hereby grant the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and the
"a r, Bernardino County Flood Control District a Right of Entry on the
following described property for the purpose of depositing boulders and
debris to be removed from the Mill Creek Channel .
SAID PROPERTY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS :
"All those portions of Lots 9 and 10 of Block 25 and Lots
1 , 2 and 3 of Block 26 of Mentone, as per plat commonly
known as ' Stretch Map, ' recorded in Book 8 of Maps , page
81 , records of San Bernardino County, State of California,
lying Easterly from Garnet Street and lying Northerly from
Mill Creek Road, together with all those portions of Lots
1 and 2 of Block 27 of said ' Stretch Ma-p' lying Northerly
from the North line of that property described in instru-
ment recorded in Book 3741 , page 551 , Official Records of
said County and lying Southerly from the Southerly line of
Parcel 13 as described in First Amendment to Lis Pendens
recorded in Book 5090, page 361 , Official Records of said
County.
"Reserving therefrom a 50-foot wide strip of land being 25
feet on each side of, measured at right angles to , the
centerline of a 24-inch steel water line running South-
westerly across said Lots 2 and 3 of Block 26.
"Also reserving therefrom all lands west of the intake struc-
ture of the San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation Dis-
trict excepting the 50 feet adjacent to and south of the
existing Mill Creek Levee . "
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are
ereby authorized to sign a Right of Entry Agreement for this purpose .
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 15th day of March, 1966 .
