HomeMy WebLinkAbout4226_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 4226 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTAB- LISHING UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 7 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: WHEREAS, a public hearing was called for April 7, 1987 , at the hour of 7 :00 P.M. in the Council Chambers in Safety Hall, Redlands, California, to ascertain whether the public necessity, health, safety or welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communications, or similar or associated service on both sides of Olive Avenue from Cajon Street to Center Street, and on both sides of Grant Street from Olive Avenue to Brookside Avenue; and WHEREAS, notice of such hearing has been given to all affected property owners as shown on the last equalized assessment roll and utilities concerned in the manner and for the time required by law; and WHEREAS, such hearing has been duly and regularly held, and all persons interested have been given an opportunity to be heard; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands hereby finds and determines that the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated structures, and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communications, or similar or associated service on both sides of Olive Avenue from Cajon Street to Center Street, and on both sides of Grant Street from Olive Avenue to Brookside Avenue, more particularly described on the attached Exhibit "A. " Such described area is hereby established as Underground Utility District No. 7 . RESOLVED, FURTHER, that all poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures shall be removed and underground installations made in said underground utility district within the following times: a. Underground work on Olive Avenue shall be coordinated with the improvements to Olive Avenue between Cajon Street and Center Street, identified as City Project No. 22-9328-4230. b. Underground installation by utility companies and pro- perty owners and reconnections not later than December I, 1987 . C. Removal of poles, overhead wires and other associated overhead structures not later than December 31, 1987. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk, within ten (10) days after the adoption of this resolution, shall mail a copy hereof and a copy of Ordinance No. 1.375 to affected property owners as such are shown on the last equalized roll and to the affected utilities. Also, all that part of Michigan Street, Buena Vista Street, Eureka Street `and Fourth Street lying within 100 feet on either side of said center- line of Olive Avenue. Also, all that part of the north- easterly 1/2 of Center Street lying within 100 feet on either side of said centerline of Olive Avenue. Also, all that part of Parkwood Drive lying 100 feet northwesterly of said centerline of Olive Avenue. Also, all that part of Alvarado Street lying 100 feet southeasterly of said center- line of Olive Avenue. Also, all that part of Grant Street lying 100 feet southeasterly of said Olive Avenue. Also, a1I. that part of the southwesterly 1/2 of Cajon Street lying 100 feet northwesterly of said centerline of Olive Avenue. PARCEL 2 A 100 foot wide strip of land lying 50 feet on either side of the centerline of Grant Street, said strip of land commencing at the centerline of Olive Avenue, thence continuing north- westerly along said centerline of ©live Avenue to the ending at the southeasterly right-of-way line of Brookside Avenue. Also, a portion of land described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of said southeasterly right-of way line of Brookside Avenue with a line parallel with and 50 feet (measured at right angles) northeasterly of said Grant Street; thence southeasterly along said parallel line 550 feet more or less to the True Point of Beginning; thence northeasterly at right angles to last said line 162.5 feet more or less, to its intersection with the centerline of an alley; thence northwesterly along said centerline of an alley 100 feet, more or less; thence northeasterly at right angles to last said line to its intersection with a line parallel with and 25 feet (measured at right angles) north- easterly of said centerline of an alley; thence southeaster- ly along last said parallel line 100 feet to its intersection with the northwesterly right-of-way lane of an alley; thence northeasterly along last said line to its intersection with the southwesterly line of Eureka Street; thence southeaster- ly along last said line 260 feet, more or less; thence southwesterly at right angles to last said line to its intersection with a line parallel with and 50 feet (measured at right angles) northeasterly of said centerline of Olive Avenue; thence northwesterly along last said parallel line 260 feet, more or less, to the True Point of Beginning.
