A RESOLUTION OF TUE CITY COUNCIL OF ME C17Y OF REDLaNDS
ESTABLISHING UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT M 4
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
followst
WHEREAS, a public hearing was called for january 6, 1976, at the
hour of 7 :00 P,M in the Council Chambers in Safety Hall, Redlands,
California, to ascertain whether the puilic necessity, health, safety,
or welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and associ-
ated overhead structures and the underground installation of wires
and facilities for supplying electric, or similar or
associated serviceon both sides of Cajon Street from Olive Avenue to
Franklin Avenue; and
WHEREAS, notice of such heaiing has been given to all affected
property owners as shown on the last equalized assessment roll and
utilities concerned in the manner and for the time required by law;
and
WHEREAS, such heariNg has been duly and regularly held, and all
persons interested have been given au opportunity to be heardi
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redlands hereby finds and determines that the public neces-
sity, health, safety and welfare require the removal of poles, over-
head wires and associated structures, and the underground installa-
tion of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communications,
or similar or associated service on both sides of Cajon Street, more
particularly described as fn1lows _
59 feet Northeasterly and Southwesterly of the centerline of
Cajon Street between the centerline of Olive Avenue and the center-,
line of Cypress Avenue, 69 feet Northeasterly and Southwesterly of
the centerline of Cajon Street between the centerline of Cypress Ave-
nue and the centerline of Garden Street, 69 feet Northerly and South-
erly of the centerline of Garden Street from the most Westerly center-
line of Cajon Street to the centerlinct of Franklin Avenue, 69 feet
Northerly and Southerly from the centerline of Garden Street to 145
feet East of the intersection of the centerlines of Garden Street
and Franklin Avenue (measured along the centerline of Franklin Ave-
nue) and 69 feet Northeasterly and SouChwesterly of the centerline
of Garden Street from the centerline of Franklin avenue to 175 feet
Southeasterly of the intersection of the centerlines of Franklin
Avenue and Garden Street (measured along the centerline of Garden
Street) and the Southeasterly one-half of Olive Avenue 109 feet
Northeasterly and Southwesterly of the centerline of Cajon Street
and all of Clark Street, Fern Avenue, Home Place, Cypress Avenue,
Palm Avenue and Highland Avenue 109 feet Northeasterly and Southwest-
erly of the centerline of Cajon Street and all of Clifton Avenue
from the centerline of Ca on Street 109 feet Southwesterly and all
of an alley between Righland Avenue and Cresceat Avenue from the
centerline of Cajon Street 109 feetNortheasterly and all of Crescent
Avenue and Sammit Avenue from the centerline of Ca3on Street 109 feet
Northeasterly. (A copy of the official map is on file in the Pdblic
Works Department. )
Such described area is hereby established as Underground Utility
District No. V
RESOLVED, URIER, that all poles, overhead wires and associated
overhead structures shall be removed and underground installations
made in said underground utility district within the following times :
3« Underground installation by utAlity companies and
property owners and reconnectioLs not later than
April 1, 1977,
b� Removal of poles, overhead wires and other associated
overhead structures not later than April 1, 1977
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk, within ten (10) days
after the adoption of this resolution, shall mail a copy hereof and a
copy of Ordinance No. 1375 to affected property owners as such are
shown on the last equalized roll and to the affected utilities.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of january, 1976 by
the follawing voter

59 feet Northeasterly and Southwesterly of the centerline of Cajon Street
between the centerline of Olive Avenue and the centerline of Cypress
Avenue , 69 feet Northeasterly and Southwesterly of the centerline of
Cajon Street between the centerline of Cypress Avenue and the centerline
of Garden Street , 69 feet Northerly and Southerly of the centerline of
Garden Street from the most Westerly centerline of Cajon Street to the
centerline of Franklin Avenue, 69 feet Northerly and Southerly from the
centerline of Garden Street to 145 feet East of the intersection of the
centerlines of Garden Street and Franklin Avenue (measured along the
centerline of Franklin Avenue) and 69 feet Northeasterly and Southwesterly
of the centerline of Garden Street from the centerline of Franklin Avenue

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will
be held on January 6 , 1976 , in the Council Chambers of
Safety Hall, 212 Brookside Avenue, Redlands at 7: 00 p.m. ,
for the purpose of determining whether the public
necessity, health, safety, or welfare will be served by
the establishment of an Underground Utility District .
THIS AREA BEING CONSIDERED is on both sides of
Cajon Street from Olive Avenue to Franklin Avenue as
shown on a map on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
AT THE ABOVE-MENTIONED TIME all persons interested
may voice objection or approval of the proposed establish-
ment of an Underground Utility District .
