HomeMy WebLinkAbout880_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 880 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS CONCERNING UNIFORM SALES AND USE TAX. WHEREAS, the County of San Bernardino intends to amend its Ordinance No. 790, being an Ordinance pursuant to the Bradley- Burn.a Uniform Local Sales and Use Tax Law; and. VIHEREkIL6 , it is the intent of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Redlands that the City continue to cooperate with the County of San Bernardino and other cities in allocating a portion of taxes collected within this City to the County of San Bernardino for the exclusive use in the payment towards one-half (--) of the annual interest and principal indebtedness of the San Bernardino County 18,035 ,000.00 Capital Outlay Building Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of Redlands has amended its Ordinance No. 1021 by passing Ordinance No. 1072, being an Ordinance pursuant> ta the Bradley-Burns Uniform Local males and Use Tax Law, imposing a ninety-two and one- half one hundredths of one per cent (922%100 of 1%) tax pursuant to the provisions of Part 1.5 of Division 2 of the Revenue and Taxa- tion Code of the State of California. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said sales and use tax shall not be increased for a period of twelve (12) months from the effective date of said Ordinance as amended, and then only after further nego- tiation with the County of San Bernardino .
