A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS URGING
ADOPTION OF A COUNTY ORDINANCE RELATING TO DISPOSITION OF ABAN-
DONED CITRUS GROVES
WHEREAS , the City of Redlands deplores the continued exist-
ence of abandoned and unattended citrus groves in and adjacent to
the city,i, and
WHEREAS , it is in the public interest that such decadent,
unsightly, and unhealthful areas be cleared and maintained proper-
ly in order to promote the public health, safety and welfare, to
protect economic values of adjacent properties , and to conform to
planning and zoning procedures necessary to the orderly growth of
incorporated and unincorporated territory in the County of San
Bernardino,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of San
Bernardino shall approve and adopt an ordinance relating to the
disposal of abandoned citrus groves .
2. That this resolution be forwarded to the Board of Super-
visors and the cities of Rialto, Fontana and San Bernardino.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 17th day of September,
1968.
