RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS STRONGLY URGING REINSTATEMENT OF $11
MILLION CUT FROM DISTRICT 8 PROGRAM BUDGET
WHEREAS, Caltrans ' proposed six-year planning program has
ignored local input from the San Bernardino County Transporta-
tion Commission; and
WHEREAS, between the initial draft in June and the August
revised draft, $11 million was cut from the District 8 program
budget and apportioned to other Districts throughout the State;
and
WHEREAS, this alteration represents a total rejection Of
well thought out and planned local input,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redlands, that the California Highway Commission be most
strongly urged to direct Caltrans to reinstate $11 million to
the District 8 program budget.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this sixth day of September,
1977 .
