WHEREAS engineering stud.4 L indicate that the San
Bernardino Valley, including the Redlands area, further develop
on a sound basis without the imp ortation of supplemental water;
and,
WHEREAS it is also plain that the Mojave Desert region
which is served by and contributes to the prosperity of the cities
within this Distvrict must have water from the proposed high line
of the Feather River Project in order to progress ;
NOW THEREFORE IT 13 HEREBY RESOLVED,
That the City Council of the City of Redlands strongly
hat
urges the Governor of the State of California, the Director of the
State Depar-11-Ment of Water Resources and all other persons and agencies
take
-
interested in making the Feather River Project an actuality, to ILI
all steps within their power to assure the earliest possible com-
pletion of the Feather River Project high line into the San Bernardino
Valley Area to make surplus viater from Northern California available
to the Redlands Area.
