A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ADOPTING GUIDELINES FOR A MUNICIPAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM FOR
PARTICIPATION OF VOLUNTEERS WITH CITY GOVERNMENT
WHEREAS,the City wishes to promote volunteer involvement with City Government;and
WHEREAS,the City wishes to encourage and obtain support from civic minded entities and
individuals for the improvement and maintenance of the City; and
WHEREAS,the City wishes to adopt guidelines for municipal volunteer participation in City
Government;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Redlands City Council hereby adopts the attached Municipal Volunteer
Participation Guidelines and related documents for the purposes of establishing a method for
Municipal Volunteers to participate in City government.
Section 2. Participation by a Municipal Volunteershall be by application and acceptance
into the program,with each volunteer agreeing to strict compliance with these guidelines. It is with
gratitude that the City Council adopts this resolution for participants to assist the City by
volunteering their time and talents to the City.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED THIS 3rd day of October. 2000.
