HomeMy WebLinkAbout731_CCv0001.pdf RJaSOLUTION NO. 3 WHEREAS , the records of the INTater Department of the City 4 of Redlands show a general lowering of the subterranean water 5 tables, and a decline in the volume of surface water availa'khle, 6 and 7 WHERLMIS, due to the increase in population and the recent 8 rapid growth of the City of Redlands , the problem has arisen as 9 to whether or not the City's water resources and rights are going i I 10 to be adequate to serve properly the contemplated future populat" 11 growth of this city, and 12 WHEREAS, a survey is to be made of the entire water 13 situation of this City to determine the status of the water 14 Z6z resources, water rights and the entire municipal water system, < a W 0 -, 15 AND WHEREAS , to conserve the water resources of this City - Vz 0 X ;P 16 a it is ekpedient that Resolution No . 710 of this City of 0! _j 0 J 17 z Z) �_ 1 < �- Redlands establishing rules and regulations for the Water 18 Department of the City of Redlands, adopted on the 6th day of 19 May, 1952 , be amended as hereinafter set forth, 20 NOW) THER41,,FORE BJ2_j IT RESOLVED that the Water Department 21 of the City of Redlands shall discontinue making or installing 22 any new water services, connections, or extensions, of any kind, 23 either for domestic or irrigation use , in any territory not 24 included in the corporate city limits of the City of Redland6 , 25 and that the aforesaid Resolution No . 710 of this City be amended 26 accordingly. 27 1 hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly 28 adopted by the City Council of the City of Redlands at a meeting C, thereof held on the 7th day of April, 1953, by the following vote 29 to-wit : C 1 30 AYES : Councilmen Van Diest, Putnam, Elkins , Anderson, and Mayor Folkins 31 NOES: None
