RESOLUTION NO, 2551 IN ACCORDANCE WITH ORDTNANCE NO, 1311
BE Tom' RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlan5s that
the ator rtes and charges effective on or after the 16th day of
December, 1969, shall he as follows:

SECTION TWO: Minimum charges . For the purpose of minimum charges
as set for Lh in Section one, each separate meter connected to the eater
system shall be considered as a separate, individual consumer.

SECTION POUR: Miscellaneous Water Usage
(a) Miscellaneous usage of water and charges for miscellaneous
usage of eater shall b determinedand authorized by the eater Super-
intendent

For backfilling of ditches, a rate of three cents
($0. 03) per lineal foot of ditch for all ditches less
than three (3) feet in depth.
( 2) For backfilling of ditches greater than three ( 3) fees:
in depth at a rate to be determined by the eater Super-
intendent.

(3) For orchard spraying, a rate of $2. 50 per rig per day
or portion thereof.
(4) The Coater Division may provide a Peter for any of the
above uses and require a suitable deposit guaranteeing
return of metcr in working condition. eater used through,
such meter shall be at the rate of twenty-two cents
( 22?) per hundred cubic feet, with a minimum charge of
ten dollars 010.00, per month or portion thereof. All
such meters shall be returned for reading and checking
within ninety (00) days after issuance.
(b) Except for fire protection or emergence] purposes, fire hy-
drants shall not be used to obtain= unmetered eater unless a permit to
do so has first been obtained from the Water Division or Fire Depart-
ment and thea only; for pubic improvement construction purposes or
orchard spraying inside the city limits .
For a fire hydrant permit, a charge of one: dollar ($1. 00)
shall be made in addition to charges for water used. Permits shall ex-
pire
ms-pir in thirty (30) days unless a shorter period is specified thereon.
SECTION IM New Service installation Charges . The eater Depart-
ment shall make the following charges for the installation and mainte-
nance of services and for meters ; such charge or estimated charge to

Tc) All services larger than two inches ( 2" ) or any one and one-

SECTION SIX: System Construction Charge, A system construction
charge shall be made for all new service connections unless the main
to serve the property was installed to City specifications by the
party who owned the property at the time- The charge for a single
family residence shall be $105 .00 . The charges for property other
than single family residences shall be determined by the Water Divi-
sion based on Q . 50 per front foot with lots having more than one
frontage side figured as one-half the sum of all frontage sides ,
SECTION SEVEN: Fire and Protective Service Connection.
I a The monthly rates to be charged for stand-by service used
for fire protection purposes shall be as follows:

W, Stand-by fire service connections shall be installed by the
Water Division in accordance with Section Five of this Resolution.
SECTION EIGM: Service provided to publicly-owned property which
is used exclusively for park and recreation purposes shall be charged
the lowest domestic rate established by this Resolution.
