A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN A WORK-SENTENCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Redlands Municipal Court and the Probation Depart-
ment of the County of San Bernardino have requested the City of
Redlands to participate in a rehabilitation program, which allows
citizens to do substitute volunteer work for a public entity, under
the supervision of the City, in lieu of a court-imposed monetary
fine, and
WHEREAS, the City will benefit through participation by obtain-
ing the services of citizens with the only cost being that of super-
vision, and
WHEREAS, the Court, the Probation Department, and the citizen
will all benefit by the flexibility of the program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Redlands approves the City 's participation in this coopera-
tive program with the Municipal Court and the County Probation De-
partment,
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 21st day of January, 1975.
