A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DESIGNATING CITY VOLUNTEERS AS "EMPLOYEES" FOR THE SOLE
PURPOSE OF WORKERS' COMPENSATION INSURANCE COVERAGE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS
FOLLOWS:
Section I. Pursuant to California Labor Code Section 3363.5, for the sole purpose of
workers'compensation insurance coverage and Article 2,Division 4,of the California Labor Code,
the City of Redlands hereby designates those authorized City volunteers for performing voluntary
service without pay as "employees" of the City during the performance of volunteer services.
Section 2. For purposes of this Section, "voluntary services without pay" shall include
services performed by any person who receives no remuneration other than meals, transportation,
lodging, or reimbursement for incidental expenses.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 7th day of December, 1999.
