HomeMy WebLinkAbout2014_11_12 - Planning Commission MINUTES: of the Special Planning Commission Meeting of the City of Redlands held Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. are as follows: PRESENT: John James, Chairman Carol Dyer, Vice Chairperson Jan Hudson, Commissioner Ken Jeske, Commissioner Julie Rock, Commissioner ADVISORY STAFF Robert D. Dalquest, Assistant Development Services Director PRESENT: Sean P. Kelleher, Associate Planner I. CALL SPECIAL MEETING TO ORDER Chairman James called the Special Meeting to order. All members were present with the exception of Commissioner Guzkowski and Commissioner Frasher who were excused. II. PUBLIC COMMENTS (At this time, the Planning Commission will provide an opportunity for the public to address them on the subject, which is scheduled on this special meeting agenda. Please limit your comments to three (3) minutes.) Chairman James opened up the Public Comment period. There were no comments forthcoming and the Public Comment period was closed. III. CONSENT - None IV. OLD BUSINESS - None V. NEW BUSINESS - None VI. ADDENDA A. DIVERSIFIED PACIFIC, APPLICANT (PROJECT PLANNER: SEAN P. KELLEHER) Determination by the Planning Commission as to General Plan conformity for the dedication of lot 62 of Tract No. 16465 and lot 21 of Tract No. 16627. Chairman James opened up the Hearing. Mr. Pat Meyer, representative, stated he was in agreement with the mitigation and was available for any questions. Chairman James closed the Hearing. Planning Commission Minutes of November 12,2014 Page 1 MOTION It was moved by Vice Chairperson Dyer, seconded by Commissioner Hudson and carried on a 5-0 vote (Commissioner Guzkowski and Commissioner Frasher absent) that the Planning Commission determine that the City's acceptance of the dedication of 8.12 acres of orange groves, Tract 16465 Lot 62 and Tract 16627 Lot 21, made by Diversified Pacific is consistent with the City's General Plan. B. DIVERSIFIED PACIFIC, APPLICANT (PROJECT PLANNER: SEAN P. KELLEHER) Significant project presentation to the Planning Commission concerning Tentative Tract No. 18979 to subdivide 32.28 acres into fifty-five (55) residential lots and one common lot located on the north side of San Bernardino Avenue, approximately 600 feet east of Judson Street in the A-1 (Agricultural) District. Associate Planner Sean Kelleher gave a brief description of the project and stated Mr. Meyer will give a presentation the project. Mr. Meyer gave a brief presentation of the significant project. No Motion required. VII. MINUTES A. Minutes of October 14, 2014 MOTION It was moved by Vice Chairperson Dyer, seconded by Commissioner Rock and carried on a 5-0 vote (Commissioner Guzkowski and Commissioner Frasher absent) that the Planning Commission approve the minutes of October 14, 2014. VIII. ADJOURN TO NOVEMBER 25, 2014 Chairman James adjourned the meeting at 4:19 p.m. to the November 25, 2014 Planning Commission meeting. Linda McCasland Robert D.
