A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 4460 RELATING TO PROCUREMENT THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT
OF GENERAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, on December 21, 1988, pursuant to Govenunent Code Section 14814, the City
Council of the City of Redlands adopted Resolution No. 4460 to authorize and direct the then-existing
Purchasing Agent, Gary Luebbers, to sign and deliver all necessary documents in connection with
City procurement of equipment and supplies through the Department of General Services; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 14814 and its successor statute have since been
repealed by the State Legislature; and
WHEREAS, the City's current Purchasing Manager has recommended the City Council
rescind Resolution No. 4460 to avoid confusion regarding City procurement authority and to ensure
consistency with the City's present procurement regulations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS:
Sectionl. Resolution No. 4460 is hereby rescinded.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 5th day of April, 2016.
