Re: Legal Representation with regard to the Shooting of Kristin Bauer
Dear Mr. McHugh:
Thank you for contacting me to have our law firm represent the interests of the City of
Redlands with regard to the officer-involved shooting incident of Kristin Bauer on March 24,
2016. As you know, we have over thirty years of experience in successfully representing law
enforcement agencies in these matters and your City is to be commended for taking a proactive
approach to this incident.
As we will discuss, there are many legal and practical issues to consider and I will fully
brief you and the Council on the various approaches which can be taken at this early stage.
Regardless of the path this case ultimately takes, we will assist the City and its officers in
reaching the best possible result. Our public entity rates are $225/hour and, as you know from
our previous representation of the City of Redlands, we are very conservative in our billing
practices.
